About Capt Colton Hester
I am proud to be a South Florida local. While growing up in South East Coast in Fort Pierce I would always fish with my childhood friends or my dad. I can remember like it was yesterday my Dad telling me come on son got up its time to go. I would set out on my mission, loading the boat with buckets, rods, food, drinks, and anything else I had instructions not to forget.
On the water, it would be a day of training on how to rig a bait, how to drive the boat, the proper speeds needed for what species of fish, and much more about how to handle the water and the responsibility that comes with it. After that would be the worst part, it meant it was time to clean the boat. However, these repetitive skills that I learned over and over laid the foundation that I needed. I then used this foundation to achieve my Unites States Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Credential. AKA – Captain License, and I will forever be grateful for the influence of those who helped me along the way.
Today, I wake up to my alarm, and I start another day loading the boat and going through my checklist just like I did when my Dad and I would get ready to go fishing. Therefore, I have been training to be a guide my entire life. I find comfort in the fact that being a charter captain has always been my true calling. I am a very blessed person to get to do what I love every day. That is why I cannot wait to share my love of the outdoors through trophy bass, inshore, and offshore fishing. Let’s experience all Florida has to offer together!

Capt. Colton Hester is a local Florida born and raised in Fort Pierce. He started Sonna Girl Fishing Charters in 2018 with the goal of providing excellent customer service, a family-friendly environment, and the tenacity to catch whatever species of fish that clients would like to target. Every trip is not only a fishing charter but also a learning experience and an adventure into the heart of Florida.
Through these trips, we are able to connect people with nature, accessing the ability to truly experience all this great state and Tressure Coast adventures into the heart of Florida. Luckily for us, we are centrally located within an hour of South and Central Florida’s greatest fisheries.
